Mogul Mind and the Pittsburgh A&E Book
On Saturday, June 6, 2009, nearly 100 of invited members of Pittsburgh's vibrant arts and entertainment community gathered at Mogul Mind to celebrate the newest version of The Pittsburgh A&E Book.Now in its fifth edition, The Pittsburgh A&E Book is the region's only professional directory to Pittsburgh's arts and entertainment community/industry. With The A&E Book, anyone in the arts/entertainment field can locate whatever resources he/she needs. Whether you are a theatre company looking for props, a painter seeking arts supplies and exhibit space; a festival wanting a band or a filmmaker needing editing services, you can find in the Pittsburgh A&E Book. In addition to the print directory, there is now a stand-alone web site at www.pittsburghaebook.com where visitors can access all the same information.The directory is the creation of author and arts entrepreneur James A. Richards, who has been involved in entertainment since his teens. He has been very active in Pittsburgh's A&E community for nearly 20 years. When complete, the facility will consist of 6 stages ranging from 7,500 square feet to over 38,000 square feet with heights of up to 55 feet. It will literally be a “one-stop-shop”. Leaders in Pittsburgh's film, music, visuals arts, theater and other art forms --- both commercial and non-profit --- arrived to enjoy great donated food and the music of local Mediterranean rock band Ishtar while networking, picking up free copies of the directory and touring the studios.
