Save the date by pre-ordering your backstage pass to the event of the summer!The rumors abound. Did Keith Richards really receive a bloodtransfusion before jumping on a Swiss stage in 1973? Did Van Halenreally insist that all brown M&Ms be removed from their backstagebowl? Did Guns & Roses honestly request a hot tub filled withmodels? Perhaps no locale is more mysterious than backstage at a rockconcert. But those who where there adhere to a rock-n-roll code ofsorts, rarely sharing the details of the incidents that took place.Until now. Pittsburghers will get their chance to experiencewhat really happens backstage on Friday, June 12th, when the MattressFactory presents ALL ACCESS: The 2009 Urban Garden Party. Co-Chairs forthe event are Rich and Cindy Engler, who are responsible for producingmore than 5,000 concerts and events, and some of Pittsburgh's mostmemorable concert experiences throughout the past 35 years. Each year, the Urban Garden Party becomes the talk of the town as morethan 1,000 attendees turn out to help support the museum's mission in afestive, celebratory atmosphere. As our primary annual fund raisingevent, the Garden Party is vital to the museum's programming and hashelped us push the artistic envelope for more than three decades.The 2009 Urban Garden Party will took place from 7:00 PM to11:00 PM on Friday, June 12.
