Pittsburgh Fashion Story 2010by Tori Mistick I'm lucky enough to be the Fashion Show Coordinator for the annual Pittsburgh Fashion Story - the 7th annual event to benefit Partners for Quality and their subsidiary Allegheny Children's Initiative. They are both wonderful locally based non-profits, and this event serves as a fundraiser for them. Don't you love it when going to a great party and fashion show actually ends up benefitting a bunch of kids? It's a great feeling! Check out our TV appearance to promote the event.This year we are partnered with The Andy Warhol Museum and their director Tom Sokolowski to bring you a pop-art inspired show. We'll have fashion from Charles Spiegel for Men, Jupe Boutqiue, Maxalto and Ambiance Boutique . Ambiance is a local consignment shop, so I'm very excited to have that reuse and recycle aspect incorporated into the show - you know I love shopping for a cause!Your ticket included an open bar, great food and the fashion show. Throughout the evening patrons stoped by and checked out what we had in the silent auction this year. Continuing with the art theme, we had several items donated my local artists such as Laura Petrilla , Jesse Best, Giuseppe Ragazzino, Brian Holderman, Michael Lotenero and Joe Lappa.And if you're one of those rare Pittsburghers who like sports (I know there are a few of you), Paul Steigerwald is the MC and rumor has it he might be bringing a Penguin or two with him (as in the cute, Eastern-European variety, not the feathered, fish-eating ones).
