The first annual Pittsburgh Social Exchange Halloween Masquerade Ball benefiting the Jubilee Soup Kitchen was held on Friday October 22nd at the Highland Country Club. Celebrity Host Larry Thomas, Seinfeld's Beloved Soup Nazzi, Emcee Andrew Stockey. Halloween Masquerade Ball Chairs: Lynda and Paul Schneider, Special Guest Vocalist: Freddie Johnson, Volunteer Recruiter: Dana Brandi, PSE Founding Chairs-Michelle Silverman and Scott Drudy were among the 250 guests that attended this sold out event.
The Jubilee Association welcomes those whose lives are challenged by poverty, illness, joblessness, or homelessness. They are people helping people by: serving hot noon day meals to guests, 365 days a year. Jubilee Association is an independent nonprofit organization supported and operated by concerned citizens of the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The Jubilee Soup Kitchen daily feeds hot meals to between 150 and 200 guests who come from all around Pittsburgh. Anyone who comes is welcome and Jubilee provides hospitality in an unpretentious, respectful setting and encourages and assists guests of the Kitchen to look for immediate employment. Jubilee also provides after school tutoring and occasional field trips to children of the neighborhood, a medical clinic, clothing, and a food pantry, all free of charge.
