Purple reigned for Gwen's Girls thisSaturday night at the Frick Art & Historical Society as over 300 guestsgathered for the organization's annual fundraiser.
Pittsburgh designers joined creativeforces, designing gowns for a couture runways show called“Couture Violette”- inspired by the charity's signaturecolor purple. Guests enjoyed martinis by Raise Your Spirits and decadentfood by The Fluted Mushroom, great music,dancing, and the couturefashion show.
UPMC Health Plan and Community Care BehavioralHealth Organization served as presenting sponsors along with additionalsponsors Highmark, Eaton, PietragalloGordon Alfano Bosick &Raspanti, LLP, andLamar Advertising. The honorary co-chairs were Mary Beth Jenkins of UPMCHealth Plan and Deborah Wasilchak of Community Care Behavioral Health.Tara Rieland served as the Event Chair and Show Producer. Featureddesigners were: Roberta Weissburg, Kiya Tomlin, Tori Mistick, NamiOgawa, Stephanie Keremes Hartnoll, Zoe Collins, Jena-Ann Sabom, Alex Beitler,Linda Lacek, Marla Parker, and Lana Neumeyer. Thetalented design team of Brett JamesSalon did the high fashion hair and make-up, inspired by the late couturedesigner, Alexander McQueen.
