Pittsburgh Fashion Story 2011The 8th Annual PIttsburgh Fashion Story delighted the audience of 350 fashionable party goers with a Pittsburgh Film & Fashion inspired show. The runway show included references to four films with local ties: Batman, Flashdance, Night of the Living Dead and Singing in the Rain. Clothing and accessories from Shop.412, Jupe Boutique, Crazy Hot Clothes, Charles Spiegel for Men and Carabella delighted (along with hairstyles by Brett James Salon), but the highlight of the evening was a cameo of the undead variety when zombies from 100 Acres Manor haunted house took to the runway. There must have been a supernatural scent in the air, because True Blood star Joe Mangienello made a guest appearance toward the end of the evening. The Pittsburgh native plays a werewolf on the HBO series and was the hit of the night for those who chose to stay after the fashion show had ended. The evening will raise nearly $20,000 for Partners for Quality Foundation and their subsidiary Allegheny Children's Initiative, a local organization that helps children with behavioral health challenges.
