Panda Garden Restaurant Szechuan Chinese Restuaran

Restaurant review

Volcano Shrimp

What is Volcano Shrimp and where does it come from?  Well it is an ancient Chinese secret known only to the owner of Panda Garden.  This is one of the best meals in town for under $10.00, and tastes just wonderful.  Not very spicey as may be expected, but a little on the sweet side with a bit of a crunch.  The name is derived more from the color than the spice, or so the legend goes.

Where is Panda Garden?  Good question,  it is rather hidden on S. Park Rd, Bether Park (2973 s park rd) behind MM pizza and by Red Cap cleaners.

Most meals are well under $10 and lunches average $5.50,  which by the way, is a lot less than many fast food options and comes with fresh food and hot tea.  Lunch is usually on the table in under 5 minutes, (a lot faster than "fast food" if you count the time spent in line).

There are several specialties that I have not seen anywhere else, and of course the usual chinese fair.  There is no coffee or wine,  but your are free to bring your own if it is a special evening to remember or celebrate.  What is served is authentic Chinese from a master chef.

Back to the shrimp, well when pressed as to what the spice is,  the chef/owner responds with "no known english word",  when asked again, his english gets a little harder to understand.  It is a meal not to be missed though, what ever is in the ancient secret sauce.
