My Tale of Two Cities
It was another wonderful evening brought to you by the Steeltown Entertainment Project. The event was the kickoff to the new movie "My Tale of Two Cities" (writer Carl Kurlander of "Saint Elmo's Fire" fame), and fundraiser for the Holy Family Institute's Youth and Media Initiative.
The evening started at 5th Avenue Place for the vip reception, followed by the public (sold out) screening at the Byham Theater, and finished with the "Pittsburgh's Homecomming Party" at 5th Avenue Place.
In attendance were many of Pittsburgh finest and most well known that included Mrs Fred Rogers, Mr&Mrs Franco Harris, Doc Harris, Mrs Bob O'Connor, Mr&Mrs Dr.Thomas Starzl, Tom Savini, and many many others (1300+)
The movie features the life of Mr Carl Kurlander, his Pittsburgh roots, and his return to Pittsburgh to raise his children. This is about a hard luck boy that makes the big time wins the girl of his dreams in the big city, and drags her back to his home town. You can only imagine the halirity that unfolds, and the story is true. Absoutly wonderful !!!
